EQ Rentals - Equipment rentals through CSIF are broken down into three steps:

A)   Available Equipment: Members can view our rental catalogue at csif.org, which breaks down available equipment by category, membership rate, and expendables. Members can then send their equipment requests to our Production Director at [email protected], after which they will confirm equipment availability and provide a quote based on your production. If members just have general equipment inquiries, they can e-mail or reach the Production Director by phone at 403.205.4747. NOTE: We ask for a minimum of 24 hours on all equipment requests. Some exceptions can be made on a case by case basis, BUT there are absolutely no guarantees for rental requests made with less than a day’s notice.

B)   Project Agreement: In order to ensure that CSIF member’s projects align with our organizational mandate, members are to fill out a “Project Agreement Form” in advance of every outgoing rental through CSIF. The Project Agreement Form provides CSIF with tertiary knowledge of each member’s respective projects, who the creative leads are, approximate runtime etc, so that we can show the annual membership engagement to our funding bodies. Once this form is signed and returned to CSIF, the Production Director will approve the project and proceed with the equipment rental. NOTE: CSIF does not have any ownership over any member’s films, but as our resources are offered at heavily subsidized rates, we require that you always feature our high-resolution logo in the credits of any project that is assisted by CSIF.

C)   Rental Lease Agreement: Once the equipment rental has been approved and reserved, and the project agreement has been signed, the Production Director will draft a rental lease agreement to be signed by the member and Production Director upon pickup of outgoing equipment. After the agreement has been signed -which details all line item pricing and membership rates for the equipment being rented- the member will pay for the rental and load up their equipment. NOTE: All rentals must be paid BEFORE leaving CSIF with equipment, not upon return.
